This isn't a $300 iPod touch, so don't expect one. No special software needed.If you are thinking about buying this but are scared by some of the bad reviews - get it. The only con is the external speaker (not that good) but I never use that anyway.I really like how simple it is to load music, plug it in, then drag and drop MP3 files.
It packs an amazing amount of features for the price. The battery charger is quick and easy to use, the video converting software from the company website is lightweight and does it's job. I received this item, wary of some complaints customers have had, and let me say: This thing rocks.
The video playback quality is great, and the included earbuds are good as well. This is an inexpensive awesome touchscreen media player. I've already beat the thing to heck in back (Had a hard crash on my PC while it was still plugged in) and it works great.
Never freezes, touchscreen has good sensitivity (after calibration).
The 1/8th phono jack output was terrible. Screen sensitivity ranged from quick to slow.
Save your money for something better. Overall fit and finish was very poor, typical of generic rockfish equipped "MP4" players.
I purchased this product a while ago and returned it promptly. The external speaker was unusable.2:) While the LCD quality seemed ok, I had many issues with video conversion and playback.
Creative and Samsung have FAR superior offerings for a bit more. Customer support was childish but very quick.My main issues with this procduct were:1:) Very poor sound quality.
No matter how I adjusted, the sound quality was muted, and overly tinny.
As many mention, the video conversion software provided needs updating (availabe on the company website). Which means I can load whatever I want and not have to dance through Microsoft hoops to hear my tunes.There may be other players out there that are more loaded and sexy and probably smoother, but this one does all I need and then some. if you are looking for a player that may not be the latest and slickest, but has plenty of features. My e-mail query to them was answered immediately and was most friendly.Major selling point to me is it does not require recent (or really any) version of Windows Media player. And I have enough money left over to buy another one for a friend. This is a good little player at a great price with great support. Sound is very good, quality of pictures and video is good.
It is an awsome customer service. Though there were some troubles in getting useed it, their quick answer solved all problems I had. My daughter is really enjoying with playing it.
Unfortunately the item I ordered first was lost during its delivering. They responded my question within 10 minutes, and tried to help me a lot. I bought it for my daughter's birthday gift.
The company sent a new mp3 for lost one, and I got it yesterday. It is really good. Right after I knew it is lost, I contacted customer service of this company.
Their action was really good, and quick.
Also, the screen has just started turning to a blank white in the middle of playing music or reviewing a voice recording. All responses were made within minutes. All in all, an ok player for the price. Tons of space;plus I use an additional 2GB mini-sd card for mine. Player meets all my needs. This company has great customer service.
